NOTES:The author seems to have missed the part about Hook being an isolated, dark and tragic figure.
"The crew alerted me with their surprised cries as the small bundles of joy literally rained down from the sky. Hook didn't come out, of course. Nowadays, he left everything to me. Always sulking around since Renee left him after she birthed me. Perhaps he blamed everything on me also.......
The first one came at me, and our blades did clash, but I brushed him aside. I absolutely had to find Pan and fight him.
Another one charged me. I brushed him aside too......and there Pan was near the edge of the ship, combating gleefully with some faceless pirate.
I rushed him, and he blocked; I jabbed and he parried.
Almost as good as me! And so....so.....I hate to say it.....beautiful......
I unshiethed my dagger and put it to his throat threatiningly, all in the blink of an eye. His face contorted in surprise, he brushed my hand aside quickly.
Unfortunately, it brushed against my dad's hat.
"Die, Shane Slit-Your-Throat, D-" And then the hat fell off. My unkempt braid fell out and Pan gasped.
"You're not a boy?!"
"A boy?!" Why would he think I was a boy?
"Bu-.....Reid said....Wha?" he stuttered and I fell to the ground.
"Strike, Pan! Strike True!" I screamed at him, revealing my now paling chest to him. The war around us raged on, but he merely stared at me.
Then he took my hand.
"Come with me!" he urged, tugging me into the air."
